Journal: Modern Economics & Management Forum DOI: 10.32629/memf.v6i5.4533
Abstract
Nonprofit organizations serve as vital forces in social governance, with their credibility directly impacting the mobilization of social resources and public participation in affairs. Currently, these organizations face challenges such as irregular internal governance, insufficient external oversight, lack of transparency, and public opinion pressures, leading to fragile public trust. This paper examines the primary manifestations of this trust deficit, analyzes deficiencies in governance structures, financial transparency, oversight systems, and public discourse management, and proposes optimization pathways including strengthening governance, improving oversight mechanisms, and deepening communication. The research aims to provide theoretical references and practical guidance for rebuilding trust in public welfare organizations, promoting collaborative governance, and advancing the modernization of social governance.
