Mainly engaged in green city design and theory, urban energy and urban form research, traditional village protection and utilization and modern construction (building construction) research and teaching, practical work.

At present, he has presided over the completion of a project of the "12th Five-Year" National Science and Technology Support Plan, and participated in the completion of 1 sub-project; presided over the "13th Five-Year" major special topic in the country under study, and hosted the National Natural Science Foundation of China "2 items, mainly participating in 3 items of National Natural Science Foundation of China (rank 2), 1 item of Provincial Natural Science Foundation of China (rank 2), presided over the completion of 2 key scientific research funds of the National Key Laboratory of Subtropical Building Science. In Applied Energy , Energy & Buildings, Architectural Journal and other domestic and foreign academic journals published more than 70 SCI, SSCI and other academic papers, 5 monographs. Related achievements won the first prize of China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Achievement, Ministry of Education Science. The second prize of technological progress, the first prize of China's degree and graduate education achievement award, the first prize of Jiangsu graduate education achievement reform award, etc. In recent years, he has hosted or participated in the completion of more than 40 urban design, museum and other public building creations, Engineering projects won 12 provincial and ministerial awards.
