Abstract

To assess the relationship between insulin resistance and hypertension, our team selects 1731 people without clinical high blood pressure by reference to CHNS's large-scale survey in 2009 as a baseline, calculating the insulin resistance index and continuing to observe their hypertension incidence. The results showed that the incidence of hypertension was significantly higher in the insulin-resistant group than in the non-insulin-resistant group.
